Candles are made per order, so please allow 5- 7 business days for personalized attention before it's ready to be shipped. Soy wax is best when its cured for at least 2 weeks, a note may be included in your candle when its OK to burn. We will notify you every step of the way!
Please consider purchasing faster shipping during hot months, otherwise some sweating or melting may happen. Please plan on making arrangements to retrieve the candle upon arrival, all candles come with a tracking number. Heat will affect the wax and could result in melting in which case we cannot accept returns or exchanges. We will do everything we can to wrap it insulated so it gets to you worry free.
Wick Trimming: Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn to prevent soot and excessive flame.
First Burn: Allow the candle to burn for long enough during the first burn so the wax melts to the edges of the container. This prevents "tunneling" where the wax doesn't burn evenly and leaves a raised ring of unburned wax in the middle.
Burn Time: Don't burn a candle for more than 4 hours at a time to prevent excessive soot or overheating the vessel to ensure a clean burn.
Drafts: Avoid burning candles in drafty areas, as drafts can cause uneven burning and soot buildup.
Extinguishment: Use a candle snuffer.
Storage: Store candles in a cool, dark, and dry place.
Safety: Always burn candles within sight and never unattended, keep away from children and pets, and ensure they are placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Do not fall asleep with a burning candle, so do any meditations sitting up and in a semi-alert state of mind. Set a timer or notify someone else in the house for safety purposes.
Cleanliness: Clean off any soot buildup on the candle container after each use.
Packaging: Remove all packaging, crystals, or non-wax items before lighting the candle.
Discarding: Discard wick trimmings after each burn.
Prevent Tunneling:
Allow the candle to burn until the wax melts to the edges on the first burn, as mentioned above.
Avoid Overheating:
Discontinue burning when there is about 1/4 inch of wax remaining to prevent overheating the container. Never let it burn to empty!
Repurposing: Consider repurposing the container after the candle is finished.
Shipping: Candles are sensitive to high heat, and mailboxes can get quite hot, especially if left for even short amount of time. We recommend tracking and picking up the package the same day or arrange for faster shipping and schedule for a day you are available to pick it up to avoid any heat - related issues.
